SASS Clinical Faculty Awards

The School of Audiology and Speech Sciences is grateful for the support and contribution of all our Clinical Faculty.

In 2009, the School established the Clinical Faculty Awards to recognize exceptional Clinical Faculty who demonstrate excellence in and commitment to the clinical education of our students.

The Awards include the Elizabeth MacLeod Award for Excellence in Clinical Education (Speech-Language Pathology) and the Noelle Lamb Award for Excellence in Clinical Education (Audiology).

While nominations are accepted on an ongoing basis, the deadline for submissions for the current year is November 15. All nominations received after that date will be considered for the following year.

Current Clinical Faculty Award Recipients

The Elizabeth MacLeod Award for Excellence in Clinical Education (Speech-Language Pathology) for 2022 has been awarded to Rhea Lazar and Lisa Langford. Rhea and Lisa are Clinical Instructors with our School, who works as a Speech-Language Pathologist at the Robert and Lily Lee Family Community Health Centre in Vancouver. The award for 2023 has been awarded to Curtis Fischer. Curtis is a Clinical Instructor with our School, work works as a Speech-Language Pathologist at the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria. 

The Noelle Lamb Award for Excellence in Clinical Education (Audiology) for 2022 has been awarded to Rachel Jordan. Rachel is a Clinical Instructor in our School, and works as an Audiologist at Costco in Burnaby. The award for 2023 has been awarded to Maxine Fok and Maybelle Santos. Maxine and Maybelle are Clinical Instructors in our school, and work as Audiologists at the Burnaby Health Unit. 

The faculty and administration of the School of Audiology and Speech Sciences are pleased to have the opportunity to recognize our award recipients for their many contributions to the School’s educational mission, and extend sincere congratulations to them all.
