The focus of the session was to answer specific questions Clinical Educators who are mentoring students in Spring and Summer 2024 may have. A brief overview of the updated Midterm Evaluation was also covered.
Some examples of questions answered in this session include:
– What is the best piece of advice for a new clinical educator?
– There will be two clinical educators for one student. Should we each do a midterm and final evaluation or should we complete those evaluations together?
– I understand UBC has an on-campus clinic for AUD students to gain some experience prior to their externships. How many clinical hours are typical for first year students to have before they begin their first external placement?
