Clinical Educator Event: Applying the Canadian Assessment of Clinical Competence (ACC) – Session 2

Are you a Clinical Educator taking a student in 2025 and onwards? Are you a clinician interested in student evaluation?

The Canadian Assessment of Clinical Competence (ACC) is the new national rating scale used to assess students’ developing competencies in clinical placements. If you are supervising a student in 2025 or beyond, you will be using the ACC.

“Applying the Canadian Assessment of Clinical Competence” will be a case-based practice session, focused on using real scenarios from Clinical Educators to become familiar with using the ACC.

When: Thursday, April 10th. 12pm-1pm.

Where: Zoom

Prerequisites

  1. Please watch the recording of “Introduction to the Canadian Assessment of Clinical Competence” first if you did not attend the session on February 19th, 2025.
  2. Bring a case study. Think of the last student you evaluated, and anonymize their information. The SASS Clinical Coordinators will use these examples to guide the practice session and answer your questions!
