Summary of the Role:
Reporting to the Department Leader -Speech-Language Services, this position is responsible for all aspects of caseload management using clinically accepted procedures to assess, plan and carry out speech-language programs either directly or through training caregivers and support staff. The S-LP works collaboratively with children’s families and other professionals (including OT, PT, Infant & Child Development Consultants, Key workers and more) to determine the best array and intensity of services for children based on the goals of their families. Positions may be based in either of our two locations (Abbotsford, Chilliwack) with possible travel to adjacent communities we serve (e.g. Mission, Hope). Our S-LPs work in homes, community settings, private schools and in our offices delivering services to a wide range of children and youth aged birth to 18 years across several FVCDC programs.
